Advocacy | Rocio (Rosie) Rosas
Meet Rocio (Rosie) Rosas!
A California native, Rocio and her family moved to the Bothell area a few years ago. Immediately, Rocio, or often know as Rosie to family and friends, immersed herself within the Fernwood community. Prior to holding a board position, Rosie has volunteered at many PTSA programs, including assisting in classrooms, as a committee member for the Year End Celebration and Chairing the Art Docent Program.
To get to know Rosie better, read more about her in her own words:
"I am Rosie. I was born and raised in the bay area (Redwood City) and had never moved away from my family up until four years ago when my husband approached me with a job opportunity for him that would force us o move to Washington (Bothell). We are so happy we made the move, we love our community and have met such wonderful people.
I have two kids Sofia is a 7th grader and goes to Skyview and Christian who is in Fernwood.
I’ve always loved volunteering at Fernwood and staying involved and helping in any way that I can, its second nature to me. I loved being art docent, helping with end of the year carnival and being room mom
This will be my first year on the PSTA board.
In California I worked for a non profit organization, (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network) as an event coordinator."
